Megan Pinzel (Sol Health)
Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Megan. I am a therapist-in-training at SolHealth and am excited to begin working together! I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about what you can expect as we begin sessions together. I am a first-year master’s degree student in the Mental Health Counseling program at City College of New York. I received an interdisciplinary degree in Science, Technology, and Society where I focused on Psychology, Sociology, and Cultural Studies at Farmingdale State College. I have previously interned in schools where I worked with populations experiencing anxiety and difficulties with life transitions. I also worked as an ABA therapist where I specialized in working with clients with developmental disabilities. My primary modalities of therapy are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Adlerian Therapy. My therapeutic approach incorporates: mindfulness exercises to help with stress management, reducing stress and anxiety, overcoming depression, developing self-compassion, and creating a meaningful life for yourself. I believe in exploring an individual’s past and present while empowering them in a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space. Megan Pinzel is a therapist-in-training at Sol Health. Sol Health is a digital health startup that offers $30 therapy to Gen Zs by connecting them with therapists-in-training accruing clinical hours. Blue Bridge Therapy
Meaningful relationships help maintain mental and physical health and can be an antidote to stress. When our core relationships are struggling or when we're struggling to build core relationships, the stress and loneliness can permeate all aspects of our lives. Relational stress and loneliness are reasons many people seek the support of a therapist. Through therapy, clients can explore relationship patterns and barriers preventing them from making and maintaining meaningful and warm connection with others. Treatment can include treating symptoms of social anxiety, exploring discomfort with intimacy, navigating conflict, setting boundaries, and voicing needs. In addition to individual therapy, family and couple therapy can provide insight into system dynamics. Clients learn to recognize and change negative cycles and build deeper and more positive bonds. If you are dissatisfied with your relationships and are ready to work toward change, meeting with a therapist is a great place to start. If you’re not sure if individual, couple, or family therapy is the right choice, a free consultation with a therapist to discuss options can be helpful. If you think I might be a good fit, please reach out.

I believe psychotherapy is a project between two people where sources of emotional pain and anguish are discovered and revisited, where what has been denied, unimagined, forgotten, or come to be unspeakable can become imagined, felt and spoken. The process generates an understanding of ourselves that is vastly more dynamic than what our relationships, politics and culture allow, leading to the easing of suffering and the creation of new possibilities. The therapy I provide is open, an invitation. There is a freedom to it that takes courage and tolerance. It can involve a deconstructive or constructive momentum where you may not necessarily be told what to say or how to feel. It is an invitation to notice what comes to mind and what does not. What can emerge in a therapy is dynamic. It can surprise, frustrate, thrill and provoke. These experiences are worked through together. As you bring yourself as fully as possible to what confuses or afflicts, I will help guide you with my understanding of the mind toward a life of growth and healing.

As your therapist, I will help you know yourself in a deeper way. In doing so, you will be better equipped to enact changes in your life that will lead to greater happiness and a sense of well-being. We cannot erase negative past experiences. We can, however, work together to help you to better understand and to respond to these experiences in more constructive ways. Using a variety of therapeutic approaches, I will help you to become more aware of your long standing, negative behavioral patterns which are getting in your way of resolving challenges and of establishing and meeting your goals in life. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, conflicted relationships, work stress and identity issues. As an alternative to therapy, I also offer coaching services for clients working toward specific personal goals in the areas of career/work, self care (e.g. weight loss, improved work-life balance, meditation/mindfulness practices) and relationships. In addition to my 5th Avenue office, I have offices on East 57th St and in Great Neck, Long Island. I also provide therapy online to residents of NY State.

I am a clinical psychologist with over twenty five years of experience working with college aged students and adults. I provide an atmosphere that is warm, supportive and validating. I have expertise in areas of anxiety, relationships issues, depression and trauma. My approach in working with patients is eclectic (psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral therapy) and depends on the needs of each individual patient. Currently, I am only providing teletherapy and Zoom sessions.
Samah Nanda
Hi ! I am Samah, a South Asian therapist originally from India. I specialize in working with students, including international students, people of color, and immigrants who are navigating not just academics, but identity, belonging, and the pressure to succeed. As an immigrant myself, I understand how cultural expectations can affect us and manifest as beliefs, patterns, and behaviors that may not serve us; therefore, we will navigate these concerns together in a way that allows you to uphold your cultural values while building a strong sense of self. I understand what it’s like to begin this journey away from family, balancing the guilt of leaving loved ones behind while trying to build a new life. It can feel like you’re living between two worlds: holding onto your cultural identity while also trying to adapt, grow, and find your place in a new environment. This experience can bring up feelings of isolation, anxiety, and self-doubt, even when things seem to be going well on the outside. In our work together, I aim to create a space where you feel seen, understood, and supported as your full self. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, self-esteem, academic pressure, or questions around identity and family, we can explore these challenges at your pace and help you feel more grounded and confident in who you are becoming.

I am a licensed master social worker (LMSW) providing individual and couples therapy in New York State. While I work with folks who have a variety of presenting concerns and backgrounds, I have a specific interest in working with individuals, couples, and people in partnerships who are identified as part of the LGBTQIA+, polyamorous, and kink communities. Whether you’re seeking individual or couples therapy, I believe that meaningful change tends to occur when people can shed the societal expectations of what they “should” be, in favor of embracing who they are. To that end, I have an eclectic style that integrates humanistic, relational, and family systems perspectives to fit the particular situation and individual(s) in the room. I seek to de-stigmatize sex, help people feel at home in their bodies, and encourage people to feel good about what they do in or with their bodies. After completing my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, I completed post-graduate education in the Developmental Model of Couples Therapy. Furthermore, I have additional training in working with sex and sexuality in psychotherapy, including desire discrepancy and infidelity. In terms of my personal philosophy, I strongly believe that my clients are the experts in their own experiences. I am committed to creating a space that is anti-racist, sex positive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming. I value transparency in the therapy process and seek to build a collaborative alliance with everyone I work with.

I’m a seasoned therapist who’s passionate about helping people navigate trauma, life transitions, and everyday challenges. You're the expert on your own lived experiences! We’ll work together to understand your story, build on your strengths, and find ways to bring more balance and peace into your life. My approach combines trauma-focused CBT, EMDR, psychodynamic insight, and a systems lens to help you heal and move forward. Our first session is about getting to know you, answering your questions, and beginning the work toward healing at a pace that feels comfortable. We’ll explore what brings you to therapy, discuss your goals, and start creating a supportive space for growth and healing.

Deciding to start therapy can be overwhelming, and at the same time, a really exciting moment. Once you make that choice, it is important to find a therapist that makes you feel heard and understood. You can expect a respectful, non-judgmental, and supportive space while in therapy with me. I like to bring creativity and authenticity into session while working towards understanding, self reflection, solutions, and new narratives to help you achieve your goals. Thank you for reviewing my profile and see if we could be a good fit! My experience includes working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship issues. Additionally, I work with many clients dealing with career or school related stress. Prior to my work as a Mental Health Counselor, I worked in the corporate world of fashion, which gave me a deep understanding of how a fast-paced and demanding work environment can affect one’s well-being. I believe the most important factor is the relationship between myself and my clients. A genuine, trusting relationship is so critical for this work. My initial training was at Northwestern University, and was centered in a psychodynamic approach; however, I have additional training in, Mindfulness, EMDR, CBT, and IFS approaches. This allows me to pull from multiple techniques to do what is best for each client and their goals. I work collaboratively with individuals. I want to hear your input as we devise a plan on how to reach your goals. You can expect me to check in often on how you feel therapy is going, and use feedback to help modify our approach as needed. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing if we could be a good fit!

Do you find yourself relentlessly pursuing the expectations of others without considering what you expect or want for yourself? Early adulthood can be tumultuous, with major life transitions, evolving relationship dynamics, and challenging academic or professional responsibilities. Frequent changes and uncertainty may leave you feeling burned out and may trigger stress, frustration, or symptoms of anxiety or depression. Sometimes we feel overwhelmed by everything that we believe we need to do and need to be. I will help you challenge your assumptions which may have you feeling stuck. My goal is to provide you with a welcoming space to be heard and to process your thoughts and feelings. Let’s explore new perspectives, answer thought-provoking questions, and examine your self-talk. Insights from those discussions will help us identify behavioral patterns which may be contributing to your distress. We will collaboratively develop a plan to adjust those reactions to create balance in your life, while prioritizing what is practical and important to you. This personalized approach will help you build confidence, manage stress, and effectively communicate with those you care about or work closely with. You and I will leverage your strengths to develop a more sustainable lifestyle with meaning and purpose. MSW, Columbia University BS, Cornell University

Is life feeling out of control? Are you struggling with significant life changes, relationship issues, grief, immigration and acculturation challenges, or in need of trauma processing? Maybe it’s time to talk with someone. You don’t have to face these challenges alone—I'm here to help and make it easier for you. As a first-generation Chinese American immigrant, I understand many of these struggles on a personal level, and so many of my clients find that connection valuable to open up to me. I am confident that with my experience and personalized approach, I can guide you toward a positive direction in life. My clients often express that they feel heard and safe during our sessions with my naturally warm and empathetic demeanor, but also challenge them at a capacity for growth. Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my pug, watching dramas, reading books, and staying in quiet places—all of which help me stay grounded and balanced. What do you do to feel grounded? It’s completely normal to feel uncertain about starting therapy, especially if it’s new to you or you don’t know me yet. I encourage you to book a consultation with me. I’d love to address your hesitations and support you on your journey toward a better life. I’m here for you, but I need you to take that first step so we can navigate this path together.
