Tell Me More Therapy, Dr. Falco, LMFT
I applaud you for your courage in exploring therapy. I specialize in anxiety, depression, addiction, recovery, grief, loss, LGBTQ+ issues, stress, relationships, self-esteem, and trauma. I employ a Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioral approach, emphasizing the reality that what we tell ourselves affects both how we feel and our actions. I also integrate the Psychodynamic perspective, exploring how our early experiences affect the now, and a Solution-Focused modality to help clients problem solve. I sprinkle in Existentialist, Narrative, REBT, & DBT strategies as well, creating a safe, non-judgmental & trusting environment. All are welcome and included in my therapeutic, affirming, and supportive sanctuary. I am a University Lecturer of Psychology at Fordham University. I specialize in EMDR for treating trauma and have worked extensively with first responders on work-related stress & traumas. My research focuses on the sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ community college students. Let me help you reclaim your power by guiding you on the process of choosing love over fear. I look forward to showing you how to use your light to honor your true, authentic self, align with your soul's purpose, and cultivate the courage to love yourself and, ultimately, others unconditionally. You are already enough exactly as you are. Much peace. Just be.

Growing up can be challenging for adolescents- both in regards to mental health and in their relationships with peers. While mental health has become more prominent, there is often a hesitation that arises when it comes to discussing it. I offer a space, separate from their daily life and relationships, where adolescents can speak and feel heard by someone uninvolved and unbiased, but invested in being present and supportive of the adolescent. Adolescents are facing new obstacles both socially and within themselves, and while opening up can be hard, it is so important to do.

Do you need to find someone that is nonjudgmental, empathic, helps you feel at ease, and shares your sense of humor? As a first generation college student myself, college was a challenge. My therapist helped me through. I learned mental health is as important as physical health. Are you questioning your identity, gender, or sexuality? I am Trauma-informed, Body Positive, Health at Every Size, and Sex Positive. I enjoy working with clients who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. If you need an assessment and letter for Gender Affirming Surgery, I would be happy to provide this service. Welcome! Taking the first steps towards finding a therapist you "click" with can be intimidating (and exhausting) so I give you tons of credit for getting this far. I feel honored to work with my clients because I know how hard it can be to open up about personal things. I believe in the healing power of a strong therapeutic relationship, a relationship where you feel truly "seen" and understood. I like to think of a therapist's role as a supportive, steady companion who walks next to you on your path. While I certainly do not have all the answers, I do have plenty of skills and experience that might be helpful along the way. Part of what I love about being a therapist is hearing people's rich stories of not only heartache and struggle, but resilience and healing. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to talk about those deeply personal experiences. If it sounds like we might "click", feel free to reach out to schedule an intro call. I look forward to it!
