Are you naturally empathic, maybe having been labeled as “too sensitive?" at some point in your life? Using Brainspotting (a trauma intervention like EMDR) and IFS (a body-based parts work modality), I support deep-feeling queer, neurodivergent, and creative clients navigating anxiety, depression, struggles with self-love, parental/family dysfunction, and more - through the lens of social justice and the power of radical self compassion. Working together, we will sift through what you truly desire & the old messages that might be standing in your way.
Ebony Booker
Hi, I am Ebony Booker, a Social Work graduate from Fordham University and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. More specifically I am someone who helps to restore balance when life’s most important priorities can get you off track. Being able to put the pieces together when things fall apart has been my niche in working with others over the past two decades. I understand what it is like to have the daily demands of work, family, relationships, school, extracurricular activities all vying for the same amount of attention in one day. It can seem like they are stacking up like a Jenga puzzle. During this time, when demands are high and your energy is low it may feel like things are off balance. From my many years in the field working with individuals I know that you can get back to a sense of oneness and focus. If you are ready to do the work, you will be surprised and encouraged at how much you are capable of. By implementing the necessary tools to manage day to day stressors. The growth you see will be something you did not know existed. I know that each one of us can make the change in our lives. If you are ready to understand what is holding you back and to carve a path out to begin your journey, then give me a call at 404-707-5743 or drop me an email at essentialwellnessandconsulting@gmail.com.
Jordan Davis Psychological Services, PLLC
My clients are often described as sensitive by family and friends. They know they have big reactions, and they don’t always understand them. They often feel stuck – unable to do the things they want or need to do. They are falling behind in school and hobbies, losing friendships, and sometimes fighting with their parents. They often do not feel understood by the most important people in their lives. My clients typically have long histories of avoiding the situations that scare them or bring up intense emotions. They’ve spent months – sometimes years – locking themselves in their rooms, skipping class presentations or practice, canceling plans with friends, dropping out of extracurriculars, and/or experimenting with substances. By the time they start therapy with me, my clients are beginning to see that avoidance is not working out for them, and they are ready to try something new. I often work with clients who have been to therapy before. They have felt judged by and unable to connect with past therapists. They have been asked either to change everything at once, or they have not been encouraged to change anything at all. “Therapy doesn’t do anything,” they say to their parents. Together we will “do something.” We’ll identify concrete therapeutic goals and figure out what has been getting in the way of achieving them. Then, we’ll implement the skills needed to get you where you want to be. My practice is located in Brooklyn Heights, NY. I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. Please reach out via phone or email to schedule a free 15-min consultation call.
Moira Egan
I am a mature psychoanalyst who has experience working with college students and other young adults who are facing life transitions. My areas of strength are working with trauma and BPD. You may be carrying a lot of trauma even if you don't identify yourself as a trauma survivor. My approach is not goal or coach oriented. I do not give advice rather I help people to get in touch with their authentic self so that they may be better able to cope with life's challenges.

Gabriella Mocheniat
As a mental health counselor with 4 years of experience, I help college-aged and older adults navigate feelings of overwhelm, disconnectedness, and confusion in their lives, supporting them through life transitions, family stress, trauma, academic and career pressures, identity exploration, daily stressors, and interpersonal relationship issues. My style is eclectic and guiding, as I believe in authenticity that allows me to be direct, honest, and inviting. I look forward to helping empower you to achieve your goals in our work together. *Appointments are available for patients who can communicate in both English and Russian and/or who culturally would feel more comfortable with someone who is Russian speaking. I'm passionate about how therapy can be a transformative process that empowers you to better understand yourself and live with greater clarity, balance, and fulfillment. My approach is humanistic and holistic, a style that ensures a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment tailored to your unique experiences and goals. Treatment includes integrative psychodynamic therapy, Dialectal Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and relational evidence-based interventions to help you process and explore beliefs about the world and yourself. My path to becoming a therapist started at St. Francis's College Counseling Center, where I worked as a student counselor. This experience taught me the value of providing empathetic and strength-based care for emerging and older adults alike. Now, I remain committed to bringing a grounding and calming presence to each session, along with a deep respect for every person’s unique lived experience. In my free time I often enjoy calming activities that keep me grounded. These include going for long walks, reading, thrifting, visiting museums, and junk journaling.

I am an insight-oriented psychotherapist with post-Masters training. I use some CBT techniques and teach at a training institute. I have been in private practice in New York City for more than 35 years. My clients range in age from their mid-teens to Seniors, and are struggling with issues such as: school, work, family, low self-esteem, relationships, anxiety and depression. I meet with clients virtually and in person.
Sophia Tiers
As a pre-licensed mental health counselor with three years of experience, I help children, adolescents and neurodiverse young adults navigate struggles with executive functioning, emotional regulation, life transitions, grief, interpersonal communication, and identity exploration. I love working with patients who are curious about their behaviors and want to learn more about themselves as they navigate their personal mental health journey. My hope is to be an extension of your support system as you move through life’s natural transitions, finding healthier ways to express yourself while offering unconditional positive regard, empathy, and a listening ear. If you feel like this resonates with you, please reach out so we can chat further! When working with younger populations, I integrate play and expressive arts therapies into my sessions. For older populations, I use aspects of Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), allowing patients to have a say in personalizing their space and treatment goals. I take a fluid and ever-changing approach to therapy as I learn new skills and modalities to share, and to better customize care to each person’s unique story and needs. In the first few sessions, we collaboratively set treatment goals and work together to find the most impactful modalities to use. Whether this includes solution-focused activities or meaningful conversations to better process life events, the goal is to give you a space to be authentically yourself with the ability to comfortably share feedback and tailor sessions to better curate your healing journey. I was drawn to the mental health field at a young age through my own struggles to find my voice and better advocate for myself. As a neurodivergent clinician, I empathize with the difficulty in finding a space where individuals feel truly heard and understood. This unique perspective has led me to curating personalized spaces for my patients to make strides toward their treatment goals in a way that feels authentic to them. A huge music enthusiast, I love to attend concerts and musicals on my days off, as well as draw, write, and walk my dog around the neighborhood. I'm also an avid thrifter and am constantly pushing my personal style to new heights!
Jennifer Shrier LCSW
Hi, I’m Jennifer Shrier, a psychotherapist specializing in working with college students, young adults, and adults. I understand that the college years can be both exciting and overwhelming — a time of transition, pressure, identity development, relationship challenges, and increasing independence. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and supportive. I aim to create a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves and talking openly about what they’re going through, without judgment. I work with students navigating anxiety, stress, depression, self-esteem concerns, relationship issues, academic pressure, life transitions, and questions around identity and direction. In therapy, I believe the relationship itself is important. I strive to help clients feel understood while also building insight, coping skills, resilience, and greater self-awareness. My style is thoughtful and engaged, and I tailor treatment to each individual’s needs and goals. Reaching out for support can feel difficult, and I value creating a space where students can feel safe, supported, and empowered as they navigate this stage of life.

Healing is rarely a direct path, and you don't have to walk it alone. As a queer psychotherapist, my work is rooted in LGBTQIA+-affirming, trauma-informed, relational therapy for adult individuals and couples. Whatever brings you here, whether it's a persistent sense of being stuck, patterns that feel hard to break, or a quiet discontent you haven't been able to name, I'm here to help you make sense of it. Drawing from a psychodynamic framework, I help you explore the cycles of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be keeping you from living the life you want. Together, we'll uncover how you became who you are, and how you'd like to grow. My commitment is to create a space that feels genuinely safe for exploration, connection, and vulnerability so that you can show up openly and honestly in our work together. Specializing in attachment-based, relational therapy, my approach is engaging, open-minded, gentle, and direct. Getting to know your internal world fully, understanding who you are and the challenges you've faced, is where our work begins. From there, we find pathways forward together. You can expect a compassionate, nonjudgmental environment where curiosity and honesty are always welcome. Using psychodynamic and relational therapy, we'll explore what's keeping you feeling stuck, conflicted, or discontent, and work through it at a pace that feels right for you. Every person who comes to me brings a unique story, set of needs, and goals, and my approach is personalized to reflect that. Trust and connection are the foundation of everything we do here. My path to becoming a therapist is deeply personal. Growing up, navigating my own queerness and systems of oppression, coming of age in a low-income and unstable home where I was parentified at an early age, and supporting family members through addiction and encounters with the justice system shaped how I see the world and how I show up for the people I work with. Those experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of how systems, circumstances, and identity can profoundly affect a person's sense of self and sense of possibility. They also deepened my commitment to providing care that is integrated, compassionate, and anti-oppressive. Whatever you've carried, and however you've gotten here, I bring both clinical training and lived understanding to our work together. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me behind a drum kit, out on my bike exploring Brooklyn, or underwater on a scuba dive. Photography, swimming, and reading nonfiction also keep me curious and grounded, while competitive game nights, good TV, and my amazing cats provide plenty of joy and laughter.

In my practice, I work with people who are experiencing a variety of concerns, including depression, anxiety and relationship difficulties. I also work with individuals who are interested in improving their understanding of themselves or an aspect of their lives, or who want to be better able to make choices that lead to a sense of fulfillment. I believe that a successful therapeutic relationship is based on trust and can help bring about growth and change. I offer clinical supervision to psychotherapists in private practice and as part of the William Alanson White Institute's Intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Training Program. If a difficult life transition has left you feeling anxious or depressed, I can help you find your way through it. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) specializing in anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, communication, PTSD, and life transitions for patients ages sixteen and older. A foundation of my practice is my belief in integrity, which helps me be an honest partner in your healing journey. I look forward to building a genuine therapeutic relationship with you. Grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my sessions are direct, warm, and inquisitive while remaining personalized to your unique story. I'm passionate about taking this healing journey with you, riding shotgun as we maneuver the road ahead together. Along the way, you can expect a warm and welcoming environment that incorporates not only CBT but also Motivational Interviewing to help you identify big emotions and your personal strengths. I was led to this path as a child growing up in a rough neighborhood, where I was, and still am, a natural empath. Helping others felt like the obvious path, and it eventually led me to social work, where I worked with people from many different backgrounds and age groups. Running, biking, and hitting the gym keep me active, and when I'm not moving, you'll probably find me writing screenplays, reading, or listening to music. I'm always up for a video game or an old-school wrestling match, and I love spending time with friends and family.

Psychotherapy lays the emotional groundwork that leads to a more happy and satisfying life. Many people think of psychotherapy, especially some kinds of traditional psychotherapy, as one-sided: the person in therapy talks and the therapist listens. But effective psychotherapy – therapy that heals – works because of the unique relationship that develops between the therapist and the person in therapy. I provide an environment that, because it is safe and non-judgmental, allows the person in therapy to open up in new and often unexpected ways and to experience and express his or her deepest thoughts and feelings. I use more than one therapeutic discipline, but my approach is ultimately tailored to the needs of the person I am working with. I help people become more emotionally self-aware so that they can experience greater self-esteem and satisfaction in life, better deal with depression, and cope with the anxiety that so often interferes with their sense of well-being. In addition to psychotherapy, I am a certified hypnotherapist and offer hypnotherapy to the people I work with. I am also available for hypnotherapy referrals as an adjunct from other clinicians. For safety concerns I am currently working online and by phone.

As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) specializing in person-centered therapy, I work with adults (18+) and adolescents who are ready to do meaningful work, wherever they are in their journey. I take a radically empathetic approach to help you navigate anxiety, depression, self-worth challenges, relationship difficulties (both platonic and romantic), and the weight of oppressive systems that can make life feel harder than it should. Whether you're brand new to therapy or well into the process, I'm here to walk alongside you, meeting you exactly where you are and helping you move toward where you want to be. I believe deeply in your capacity to grow, and am passionate about helping you build the skills and self-awareness that allow you to live more authentically. My approach is nonjudgmental, relational, and insight-oriented, creating a space that feels both calm and energizing, where real exploration can happen. Drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, I help you develop the tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. Because no two people are alike, I tailor my style to fit your unique needs, background, and lived experience. What works for you will always guide how we work together. My path to this work is a personal one. My own experiences with anxiety, and the process of seeking and receiving help, gave me a firsthand understanding of how transformative the right therapeutic relationship can be. That experience opened my eyes to the profound value of feeling truly seen and supported when navigating life's hardest moments. Outside of the therapy room, you'll find me lost in a good book, out on my bike, or making time for the people I love. These moments of connection and curiosity keep me grounded, and remind me why balance and joy matter so much in a well-lived life.
