As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I work with patients from adolescence through adulthood, drawing on a range of modalities to help you navigate anxiety, relationship difficulties, life transitions, and recovery from trauma. I especially enjoy working with people who want to dive deeper within themselves, connecting their thoughts and physical awareness to help build a life they love. One of my favorite quotes says, "I hope you fall in love with being alive," and I hope to create a therapeutic relationship and a safe space where we can collaborate to build a life you can fall in love with. Together, we can explore the beautifully mundane parts of life just as much as the extraordinary ones. I look forward to hearing your story. Compassion, patience, and collaboration guide how I work with every patient. Meeting you where you are matters most to me, as I believe progress, not perfection, should be the goal of treatment. This belief carries into how I approach care itself. Using somatic approaches, I help you bring physical and cognitive awareness together so healing can take place as a whole, not just at the level of thought. Our work together happens inside an environment meant to feel open and accepting, a space where nothing about you needs to be hidden or edited. Psychodynamic therapy plays a role here too, helping you understand how past experiences continue to shape your outlook and approach to life today. I know starting therapy can feel daunting. That's why I focus on creating a calm space, one where you can relax, be yourself, and explore every part of your life. Prior to beginning my journey to become a therapist, I started out as a patient on someone else's couch in middle school. I used therapy as a way to overcome trauma from loss, changing family dynamics, and low self-esteem. In therapy, I learned how to work through my experiences and not let my challenges stop me, but instead let them grow me into the clinician I am today. Learning skills that had such a profound effect on me made me want to provide that same experience for others. I hope to be a safe space for you through your best and worst days, a place where you are always heard and seen. I recently became certified in Reiki healing and am working toward my Advanced Biotherapy Certificate. Reading romance and mystery novels, listening to music, and playing board games with friends round out my free time.

Hello! I specialize in working with adults at any stage in life struggling with ADHD, anxiety and depression. University life can understandably be stressful, whether its having to adjust your routines, habits, and coping skills to new life experiences, adjusting to a new diagnosis, or planning for the future. Whether in an undergraduate, graduate, or PHD program, students often feel they benefit from support while navigating life changes and experiences. I have worked with students on various goals, many of which who are looking to develop healthy habits, navigate social relationships, overcome procrastination, manage low energy and motivation, deal with difficulty focusing, paying attention, perfectionism, and managing distractions, among many others. Clients come to me looking for a therapist who understand the unique challenges and experiences that come from living with ADHD and how it coexists with other mental health symptoms, because therapy should be a place where you feel understood and supported in being yourself and living a life that works for you. Sessions with me are collaborative and strengths based to support your personal goals. I offer a free 15 minute consultation appointment to see if we would be a good fit in working together to meet your therapy goals. I look forward to hearing from you!

With more than a decade of experience as a licensed clinical social worker, I support adults 18 and older as they navigate some of life's most complex and personal challenges. My areas of expertise include ADHD, complex PTSD and trauma, attachment disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance use, grief and loss, and life transitions. For those navigating relational difficulties, I also offer couples counseling, family therapy, and group counseling to help strengthen the connections that matter most. At the heart of my work is the belief that healing begins within a safe, authentic, and supportive therapeutic relationship, one where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Finding the right therapist is a deeply personal process, and I encourage you to trust yourself in choosing the path that feels like the best fit. I take a holistic and collaborative approach to care, one that is always tailored to your unique needs. Drawing from psychoanalytic, person-centered, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, I integrate evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, narrative therapy, somatic work, trauma-informed care, and attachment-based interventions. For those in couples or family therapy, this foundation helps strengthen communication, deepen connection, and create lasting change in your relationships. Whatever brings you here, my goal is to help you connect with your inner guidance, develop tools for growth, and move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life. My path to becoming a therapist is a personal one. At 18, I knew something was wrong and reached out for help, scared and unsure of what to expect. What I found changed everything. My first therapist left a lasting impression on my life, and her impact planted the seed for the work I do today. That experience shaped not only my decision to become a therapist, but the kind of therapist I strive to be: someone who meets you with the care and presence that truly makes a difference. Outside of sessions, you'll often find me lost in a good book, working on a piece of writing, or hiking with my group through whatever trail is next on the list. I never pass up a chance to get to the beach, and live music holds a special place in my heart. Above all, I cherish the time I spend with my family and friends, and being a mom is one of my greatest joys.

My name is Soren and I work with people of all ages to help them grow in whatever directions feel the most authentic. If you are feeling misunderstood, lost, trapped, or alone, my practice is a safe space for you. Many times we hide our deepest truths from others and even from ourselves in order to keep moving forward and not make a fuss or ignite difficult emotions. However, this denies us the chance for a more full and connected life. Life is hard, beautiful, and confusing. In my work we learn to hold space for all of these truths and explore them honestly. We are so often told what to do and who to be in this world, that we can lose sight of our intrinsic, genuine selves and desires. I help my clients move towards holistic connection with themselves and others through learning to live in more authentic and fulfilling ways. The path I take with each client is unique and matches their natural ways of healing. Each person has the ability to feel whole, valuable, and content in their lives. I like to give my clients the support and perspective that they need to fulfill this potential. I know counseling can be a challenging journey, but I am here to be a partner on that path and provide you with the warmth, understanding, joy, and safety you deserve.

Do you feel stuck in an exhausting cycle of trying to feel more in control of your life? Maybe you are tired of feeling like the friend who gives more than you get back. Or maybe you are constantly chasing perfection and still finding new flaws to criticize. These patterns can take a toll and often show up as anxiety, disordered eating, low mood, or feeling disconnected from yourself. If any of this sounds familiar, you are not alone, and there is a way forward. I’m Nicole, a therapist with training in both mental health and nutrition. I take a holistic and practical approach that helps students understand what fuels these patterns and build the tools needed to break them. I use evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and motivational interviewing to help you work toward self-acceptance, balance, and a life that feels less overwhelming. In our work together, you can expect a safe, supportive space where you can be honest without fear of judgment. You do not have to be “all in” right away. I meet you exactly where you are and help you take steps that feel doable and meaningful. If you want to feel more grounded, more confident, and more at peace in your body and your life, I am here to help you get there. Recovery is possible, and you do not have to take the journey alone.

College is a time of real growth — and real pressure. For many students, it's also when questions about identity, mental health, and how they move through the world come into sharper focus. I work with college students who are navigating anxiety, depression, burnout, identity exploration, trauma history, or the particular exhaustion that comes with being neurodivergent in demanding academic environments. Many of the young adults I work with are autistic, ADHD, or both — and are often doing so without the scaffolding that got them through high school. Others are transgender or gender-diverse, and are figuring out who they are while managing minority stress, family dynamics, and systems that don't always make things easy. My approach is relational and collaborative. I don't follow a rigid protocol — I draw from ACT, DBT, and CBT, and I tailor what we do to who you are and what you actually need. Sessions are a place to build insight, develop real skills, and figure out how to live more fully as yourself. I'm a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training in gender-diverse care, trauma, and neurodevelopment. Before opening my practice, I spent two years at Yale's Pediatric Gender Program and completed my doctoral internship at Yale School of Medicine. I keep my caseload focused so I can do this work with the depth it deserves. Sessions are available via telehealth across Connecticut and New York, and in person in Southington, CT — which may be convenient for students at nearby colleges and universities. I also see adolescents and teens, so referrals for younger clients are welcome. I'm happy to connect with counseling center staff to discuss fit, coordination of care, or consultation. The best way to reach me is through my website or by phone.

Biography: Hello! Thank you for visiting my Teladoc profile. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of New York with over 20 years of experience in mental health. I graduated with a Doctorate of Social Work from Capella University, a Masters of Social Work from Marywood University, and undergraduate degree from State University of NY -Suny Empire. I have diverse experience from a variety of treatment settings. I have worked as a school-based social worker in both a school-based mental health center and as a social work consultant, worked with soldiers and their families on military installations, and worked in outpatient mental health clinics. I use a person-centered, trauma-informed approach tailored to the unique needs of each individual. Each person has a unique perspective and set of core beliefs around their experience of life. Modalities utilized in therapy include Cognitive Processing therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Compassionate Inquiry, Act therapy, and Positive Psychology. I believe that each person entering therapy is seeking to find the answers for their lives that will enhance their ability to have the best life possible. Life happens and then each of us need to figure it out. Sometimes we need someone to come along side on our journey to help us find our best way forward. Remember, life is a journey, not a destination. I look forward to working with you!
