It’s okay if you’re not sure where to begin. Life can feel overwhelming, and sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what’s causing the discomfort, whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or a major life transition. What matters is that you’re ready to start, and I’m here to help you figure out the next steps, no matter how small. Together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back and find a way forward that feels more aligned with who you truly are. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are ready to get curious about themselves and create change that sticks. My goal is to help you feel safe enough to be real, and supported enough to take meaningful steps forward. I’ll bring honesty, and the occasional nerdy metaphor. You bring your story, your goals, and whatever you’re ready to unpack. No matter what you're going through, there’s always hope for growth, change, and healing. If you’re ready to begin, I’d love to hear from you. Reach out by phone or message, and together, we can start working on the steps that will bring you closer to the life you envision.

I am passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. With a warm, client-centered approach, I use a mix of humanistic, strengths-based, CBT, and mindfulness techniques to support clients in processing difficult emotions and discovering their own path toward healing. The focus of this process is collaborating with you, the client, by creating a safe and understanding space, which is the foundation of any successful therapeutic relationship. I enjoy working with teens and adults, particularly those who are neurodiverse, including individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD. I also provide support to people navigating grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and relationship challenges. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of the individual, creating a compassionate and supportive environment for growth and healing. Healing comes from within, and you are the expert on yourself. It is always my hope to be an empowering force for you in the pursuit of whatever it is you aim to achieve in therapy. In addition to individual therapy, I am also open to working with family systems when needed, recognizing how important these dynamics can be in the healing process. While we may all be individuals, we are constantly operating within systems. If you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or just need someone to help you work through life’s challenges, I would be honored to walk alongside you on your journey.

I look forward to meeting and engaging with you wherever you’re in your life journey and working with you and your situation to fulfill your goals and wishes for therapy and growth. The cornerstone of effective therapy is empathy, making a genuine connection, and seeing the world through my patients' eyes. Relating in this way enables me to assist you in understanding, dealing with, and resolving difficult experiences and patterns in life to gain insight, freedom, and joy. These deeply held values allow me to build a dependable environment to see and resolve issues in our work together. My style is warm and candid – I'll be your ally in the process while utilizing a blend of therapeutic modalities tailored to your situation, goals, and wishes. Through our sessions, you'll gain insight and relief to turn challenges into coping skills and adverse experiences into assets. My time as a young ski instructor taught me the value of empathy, which later led to my becoming a mental health therapist. Teaching skiing on the side of a mountain requires building trust and rapport, effectively managing the scene to meet the client's needs and wishes, and maintaining safety all while fostering a fun and educational environment. I've used this empathy-based, client-centered approach throughout my therapeutic practice. Coupled with life experiences, my passion for empathic connection became my calling to train for a career dedicated to exceptional clinical work. When I’m not seeing patients, you’ll find me on the slopes! Skiing is a special blend of exercise, outdoor adventure, and connection with others. As a passionate skier and certified ski instructor, I love sharing this fantastic sport with my wife, family and friends, and students of all levels and backgrounds. Off the snow, I’m often hiking with my wife and friends, enjoying the exercise and the beauty and scale of nature.

My approach to therapy is person-centered and focuses on identifying & building upon one’s internal strengths, rather than deficits. I view the therapeutic process as a collaborative partnership. Together, we work toward goals that feel authentic and meaningful to you. I offer consistent, unconditional support while also “keeping it real” in a way that enables honesty, growth, and connection. Authenticity is one of my core values, and I hope that showing up as my true self encourages a foundation of safety and trust in our work together. I respect every client’s individual experiences, journey, culture and viewpoints and I offer a welcoming space to explore client’s concerns, goals, etc. I believe everyone carries a unique story, and sometimes life’s challenges or traumas can distort the way we understand ourselves. My goal is to help clients reframe their narratives, develop more compassionate self-talk, and navigate life’s ups and downs with greater confidence and ease. We all have inherent strengths and I strive to help clients identify, reclaim, and nurture those unique gifts. I have extensive experience in the mental health field across a variety of settings, working with adults of diverse backgrounds and concerns. Much of my work has included supporting neurodivergent clients (particularly ADHD), LGBTQIA++ individuals, folks going through difficult life transitions and women with complicated trauma. I specialize in trauma, addiction, depression, anxiety, and grief. I also have a passion for working with members of the kink community and the geriatric population.

You may be someone who has spent years holding things together—building a career, caring for others, navigating difficult relationships, or simply doing what needed to be done—only to find yourself feeling anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or uncertain about what comes next. Life transitions, grief, trauma, relationship difficulties, family dynamics, and changes in identity can leave even highly capable people struggling to feel like themselves. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change comes from both feeling deeply understood and developing practical ways to move forward. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, burnout, substance use concerns, relationship and family challenges, existential crises, and major life transitions. I draw from evidence-based approaches including DBT and CBT while tailoring therapeutic work to the individual rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. Before becoming a therapist, I practiced law, and I understand the pressures that can accompany demanding careers, major professional transitions, and the experience of reconsidering the life you thought you were supposed to have. I bring both compassion and curiosity to therapy, along with respect for the complexity of each person’s story. Therapy can be a place to understand the patterns that keep you stuck, make sense of painful experiences, explore questions of meaning and purpose, and begin building a life that feels more connected, meaningful, and genuinely your own. I would be honored to work alongside you in that process.

Healing starts when we feel seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a safe, caring, and holding space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Therapy is a team effort, and I want to build a trusting relationship that helps clients as we work together toward real, lasting change. Before I became a therapist, I spent more than 24 years as a Buddhist nun. During that time, I learned mindfulness, compassion, patience, and how to listen attentively. These experiences shape how I work with clients today. My practice is based on proven therapy methods, but I also believe that real healing comes from genuine connection, curiosity, and self-kindness. I earned my master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Naropa University, with a focus on Contemplative Psychotherapy and Buddhist Psychology. As a pre-licensed therapist, I have helped teens and adults facing trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, relationship issues, stress, self-esteem struggles, and big life changes. I have also worked closely with survivors of domestic violence and abuse, supporting them as they rebuild safety, confidence, and hope. My approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and respectful of the client’s background. I use mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and compassion-based techniques to meet each client’s needs. I believe everyone can grow and heal, and I feel honored to help clients reconnect with their strengths and make meaningful changes. If you are going through a life change, healing from trauma, or just want a place where you can be yourself without judgment, I would love to support you on your healing journey.
