New Beginnings Christian Counseling
Students often come to therapy feeling overwhelmed by college life, relationships, family expectations, or the pressure to have everything figured out. You may be struggling with anxiety, self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, stress, loneliness, or difficulty adjusting to a new stage of life. At New Beginnings Christian Counseling, we provide a supportive, faith-based space where college students can slow down, understand what they’re experiencing, and develop healthy ways to cope and grow. Whether you’re navigating academic pressure, relationship challenges, questions about your future, or simply trying to feel more confident in who you are, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Our goal is to help you feel more grounded, build healthier relationships, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
Daniel Reed, Psy.D.
Hello and Welcome! My name is Daniel Reed and I am a first-generation college graduate and clinical psychologist. I take an integrative, holistic approach to therapy, blending cognitive-behavioral, relational, and psychodynamic methods to fit your unique background and goals. Together, we’ll explore how your daily life is shaped by your cognitive, emotional, and relational patterns, while honoring your intersectional identity and lived experiences. I specialize in supporting university students and young adults navigating identity formation, LGBTQ+ experiences, trauma, neurodiversity, interpersonal concerns, anxiety, and depression. Progress starts with a great fit. As an active and collaborative therapist, I don’t just passively listen—I engage with you in real time, offering feedback, observations, and insights to help you build self-awareness and create meaningful change. Licensed Psychologist in CA & IL. *Please note: I am unable to see actively enrolled Santa Clara University students for therapy services due to a conflict of interest, as I also work at Santa Clara University's Counseling and Psychological Services. I am however, able to provide therapy services for former SCU students and alumni.
Embark Therapy
I'm Will Michelson, a licensed therapist (LMFT) practicing in West Los Angeles and online across California. My work is depth oriented psychotherapy, which means we don't stop at managing symptoms. We work to understand what drives them, so the change you make actually holds. College and the years around it ask a lot. Anxiety that won't settle, a low mood that flattens everything, grief, loneliness, questions about identity, direction, and who you are becoming. These are not failures of character. Often they are signals pointing toward something that needs attention, and therapy is where you learn to listen. Sessions are 45 minutes, usually weekly, in person at my West LA office near the Sawtelle and Brentwood border or by secure video from anywhere in California. That flexibility suits student life. Many clients meet online during the term and continue without interruption through breaks, moves, and summers. I bring over a decade of clinical experience, drawing on psychodynamic and relational depth work. I also trained theologically at Fuller Seminary, so if faith or spiritual questions are part of your life, there is room for them here, belief and doubt alike. You do not need to be religious to work with me. The first step is a free 15 minute consultation. It is a conversation, not a commitment.
Core Therapy
Core Therapy was founded in 2020 with a simple belief: quality mental health care should be accessible, compassionate, and designed to meet people where they are. What began as a virtual response to a growing need for mental health support has evolved into a diverse team of compassionate clinicians serving individuals, couples, families, and children throughout California. Our practice is rooted in client-centered, culturally responsive care. We recognize that every person comes to therapy with different experiences, identities, challenges, and goals. Our clinicians work to create a supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. As a fully virtual practice, we aim to make connecting with the right therapist easier and more convenient—bringing quality care directly to you, wherever you feel most comfortable. At Core Therapy, our goal goes beyond providing therapy. We strive to reduce barriers, challenge the stigma surrounding mental health, and make therapy feel more human, approachable, and connected.
Inward Healing Therapy
Sometimes Life Feels Harder Than It Should You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of what comes next as you navigate life’s challenges, relationships, family, work, or all of your responsibilities. Life may look fine from the outside, so no one really knows how much you’re struggling. But internally, you sometimes wonder if you’ll ever figure it all out, achieve the things you want for yourself, or get to a place where you genuinely feel happy and fulfilled. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns, struggling to communicate how you truly feel, questioning your decisions, or being hard on yourself. Maybe thoughts or experiences from the past still come up and keep you awake at night. Or all of your stressors and responsibilities play on repeat in your mind. You try to push past them and move forward, but somehow they keep resurfacing. Whatever you’re navigating, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin therapy. Sometimes you just need a space to slow down, understand what you’re feeling, and have someone help you navigate what comes next. At Inward Healing Therapy, we recognize that who you are and what you’ve experienced cannot be separated from the culture, family, relationships, and communities that have shaped you. Our therapists provide culturally affirming care that honors the identities, values, traditions, and lived experiences that are important to you. Rather than making assumptions about what healing or growth should look like, we work to understand what those things mean for you. Depending on what brings you to therapy, our work may include: - Understanding and managing anxiety, stress, and overwhelming emotions - Building confidence, self-esteem, and a stronger sense of self - Understanding anxious attachment and changing relationship patterns that leave you feeling insecure, stuck, or disconnected - Exploring how family, culture, and emotionally immature or unavailable parents may have shaped the way you see yourself and your relationships - Healing childhood and attachment wounds, trauma, PTSD, and painful relationship experiences - Recovering from narcissistic abuse and rebuilding trust in yourself - Strengthening communication, connection, and emotional security within couples - Developing practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence Our therapists draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, Inner Child Work, attachment-based, multicultural, and relational approaches, tailoring therapy to your needs, experiences, and goals.
Rhea Chowdhary
*Accepting New Clients Online Throughout CA* Figuring out who you are and what you want can feel complicated when you’re surrounded by expectations from the people and world around you. You find yourself overthinking your decisions, putting pressure on yourself to get things right, or worrying about disappointing those closest to you. You may find yourself doomscrolling to disconnect, comparing yourself to others, losing sleep, or taking your stress out on people you care about. Or perhaps painful experiences from childhood or in relationships have left you questioning yourself, feeling anxious, or struggling with the belief that you’re not good enough. In our work together, I provide a space away from all the outside noise where you can slow down to better understand yourself and what you need. We can explore how your environment, past experiences, relationships, and social settings have shaped the way you feel about yourself, the decisions you make, and how you show up in relationships today. Together, we can work through past painful experiences and heal the unhelpful relationship patterns that stem from them. We can build healthier relationships and develop greater clarity about who you are and what you want, so you can move through life with more confidence and self-compassion. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you’re used to figuring things out on your own. You don’t have to have everything figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll build trust over time, take things at your pace, and you’ll never be pushed to share something you’re not ready for. I’d be honored to support you and look forward to connecting with you. Experience: Rhea (pronounced: ree-uh) Chowdhary was born in the Bay Area and grew up in Ohio. She attended Ohio State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She later returned to California, where she earned her Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from CSU, Fullerton. Throughout her clinical experience, Rhea has worked with adolescents and adults navigating family conflict, relational trauma, attachment wounds, emotional neglect, and the ways these experiences can impact self-esteem, emotional regulation, and relationships. Her approach is trauma-informed and person-centered, with an emphasis on creating a safe, trusting, and supportive relationship where clients can feel comfortable exploring their experiences and working toward meaningful change. More Than Just My Work In my free time, I enjoy baking sweet treats, taking dance classes, watching TV shows/movies, going to concerts, and doing yoga. Fun fact: I’m really into football, and I’m a fan of the San Francisco 49ers.
Flourish: Individual Couple and Family Therapy
Flourish works best with students and young adults who may look like they’re doing well on the outside but feel stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck underneath it all. Many clients are navigating relationships, family expectations, identity, self-worth, academic or career pressure, major life transitions, or simply trying to figure out what they want their life to look like. You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. Our goal is to provide a genuine and authentic space where we can make sense of what’s going on, identify patterns that may be getting in your way, and develop practical ways to move toward the relationships and life you want.
Matthew Jaurequi

Hi, I'm glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with several years of experience working with children, teens, and adults from a variety of backgrounds and life experiences. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment. My goal is to help you better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. I believe therapy should be tailored to your unique needs. My approach is warm, open-minded, and solution-focused, creating a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself. Together, we'll build on your strengths, navigate challenges, and work toward meaningful, lasting change at a pace that feels right for you. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. Our first session is a chance to get to know one another, discuss what brought you to therapy, and identify goals that reflect your needs. Together, we'll build a trusting relationship and begin creating meaningful change.

Maybe you’ve been feeling unlike yourself lately. You might be dealing with anxiety, low mood, trouble focusing, poor sleep, or simply feeling overwhelmed and not sure where to start. College can bring its own set of challenges, from academic pressure and major life transitions to relationships, independence, and figuring out what comes next. Maybe you’ve tried to push through it on your own, but you know something needs to change. I’m a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who works with adults and college students to better understand what’s going on and find a treatment approach that feels right for them. I take the time to look at the whole picture rather than focusing only on a diagnosis or a list of symptoms. My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, women’s mental health, and PMDD. I want you to feel comfortable being honest about what you’re experiencing and involved in decisions about your care. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more like yourself again.
Sunset Momentum Therapy
Physically in California (San Francisco for those looking for in person) and able to meet with folks in Massachusetts (long story), I've been in practice for 11 years! I think therapy should be an empowering, straightforward, and welcoming experience. Forget the old-fashioned, “misty magical” and old sage men and women with glasses nodding and asking, “Hmm, hmm, okay…..and how do you feel about that?” I want our work together to be full of self-reflection and action with you in the driver’s seat. I view my role to be one of support and encouragement, but by no means do I have all the answers. I’ll be active in the room (or screen!) but I don’t view myself as “the expert” in your experience or your future. You are the star of your show; my role is to help you attain a way of life that’s better than it is now. The core values that guide my therapy work are kindness, autonomy, self-respect, and compassion. I believe we need to have respect for ourselves and compassion for others and that people have the agency and autonomy to make those decisions and do good to one another. When we respect ourselves and each other, I believe that breeds kindness. I aim to provide care to my clients by supporting them in their journeys rather than laying the path of bread crumbs out for them. Why would I interrupt and take away from your power? I believe that you are an expert on your life and have many strengths and skills, likely more than you realize. I see my job as helping you discover and start using these skills more effectively to have positive impacts on your life.
Dr. Kimia Mansoor
I see adults, adolescents, and couples experiencing high levels of stress, interpersonal conflict, difficult family dynamics, and chronic pain or illness. In treatment, I attune to the ways culture, attachment, and trauma influence a person's life. I often work with people who feel "different" and who have experienced deep feelings of otherness. I aim to create a safe space that invites curiosity and creativity, where talking about emotionally-painful topics doesn't feel so unbearable. If you'd like to explore the possibility of working together, please contact me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.

There are many things that can lead a person to seek therapy. You may be experiencing a persistent feeling of fear but just can't put your finger on where it’s coming from. Perhaps you've been feeling anxious about being judged harshly by others or have been struggling with feelings of emptiness, loneliness, or loss of control. Bearing the weight of these experiences can often feel exhausting. But, you do not have to be alone in these struggles. Taking the first step to seek help can feel vulnerable and even scary. I believe that when the right conditions are present healing of the heart, mind, body, and soul can – and will – occur. Reach out today.

Hi! I’m Dr. Ruth Rayikanti, a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and the Founder of A Blank Canvas. My greatest passion is helping people find clarity, confidence, and deep inner peace so they can live life with intent, purpose and presence. I was raised in San Francisco and went to UC Davis for my undergraduate studies. After earning my medical degree at Ross University, I completed my psychiatry residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a year of specialized training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Kaiser Permanente. But beyond credentials, what truly defines my approach is that I take the time to listen to your story, understand your goals, and provide compassionate, evidence-based care tailored uniquely to you as a whole person. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with high-achieving individuals including students who are navigating life transitions, burnout, or feeling disconnected from themselves. Whether you’re managing ADHD, anxiety, depression, or simply seeking to connect with who you truly are, together we will explore solutions that create real, meaningful change in your life. Outside of my private practice, I founded A Blank Canvas, a wellness platform dedicated to mindfulness, inner peace, and peak performance. I believe within each of us lies a blank canvas – a place of infinite potential waiting to be expressed.
