Are you and your partner disconnected? Have tons of resentment? Feeling like roommates? Having the same conflict over and over again? Constantly met with defensiveness? Feeling like you are always misunderstood? Scared to bring things up because they'll "get upset" or shut down? Don't know where to start? If you are facing any of these challenges, you are not alone. Some conflicts in relationships never fully go away, but they don't have to keep hurting you. We can unpack whats really happening beneath the surface so the conflict stops feeling destructive and we can get the change you've been hoping for. I provide telehealth therapy for couples who want real and structured change, not just a therapist who is a mediator or referee. I use the Gottman Method, which is a research-based intervention with 50 years of research on how couples communicate and connect. I will bring those tools to every session to help you repair your relationship. Healing and change are possible, even when it feels difficult and uncertain. My approach is warm, structured, direct, and collaborative. I’ll help you understand why patterns keep showing up and give you tools you can actually use outside of session. Therapy with me is a space where you can slow down, feel understood, and start making changes that last.

Are there times you feel stuck, overwhelmed, tired, or confused? Are there times you feel lonely, disconnected, and unheard even when you are surrounded by people? Do you have many expectations or pressure placed on you by friends, family, society, and even yourself? Do you question or blame yourself when things are not going “right”? Sometimes we struggle with these difficult thoughts and feelings and don’t know what to do. And that’s okay! You are not alone! You don’t have to have everything figured out! It is okay to feel many conflicting feelings at the same time, perhaps some more than others. It can seem scary, painful, and difficult to begin your journey of self-exploration. I will be here to support and guide you on your journey toward growth and healing. I am passionate about creating a safe and affirming place that offers authenticity, humor, and genuineness for you to share your stories. I believe in healing and growth through processing and making meanings of your experiences, recognizing your strengths, embracing your identities, nurturing your spirituality, and empowering you to make intentional choices. I will support you in learning skills to manage difficult thoughts and emotions, communicate and express yourselves, establish healthy boundaries, and navigate towards your goals. I’m an Asian-American therapist born in Vietnam and raised in San Diego, CA. As I grew up with different cultural influences, I recognize the importance of diversity, culture, relationships, and intergenerational experiences. My extroverted side loves traveling, spending time with loved ones, and enjoying different cuisines. My introverted side loves reading, listening to music, watching shows, and spending time to myself. I look forward to connecting with you to learn more about how I can support you along your journey.

For over 30 years I have been partnering with individuals, couples, and families facing mental health challenges, those exploring and discovering themself and their sexuality, those with disabilities and major health conditions, LGBTQ challenges and questions, and those facing significant mental health challenges. I work with patients throughout California through a unique combination of in-person and Telehealth. I’ve always believed in the transformative power of connection. In this field, we have the privilege of working closely with individuals to support them though their struggles. Being able to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate space where someone feels heard and understood is something that inspires me every day. My goal is to establish a compassionate and empowering environment for every individual I have the privilege to work with. The core of my practice is grounded in ensuring a secure and empathetic space for the healing journey. If you’re seeking guidance and support to navigate your current challenges and enhance your overall well-being, I’m here to collaborate with you and provide guidance throughout this process. Building trust starts with creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions. I prioritize listening actively and attentively, ensuring that clients feel genuinely heard and understood without fear of judgment. Equally important is respecting their autonomy throughout the process. Together, we work to identify goals and strategies that align with their values and needs, fostering a sense of shared ownership in the therapeutic process. By creating a collaborative and transparent relationship, I help clients feel more secure and confident in their journey toward healing.

With more than thirty-two years of therapy experience, I provide an environment of trust and competency. In addition to my counseling practice, I've taught anger management/domestic violence groups for twelve years. These principles are used with individuals and couples as well. I've also taught online graduate classes for nine years. I do mentoring as well as life coaching, assisting clients with life-direction, healthy choices, and personal accountability. I work best with clients who are seeking to improve their life and are committed to positive change.
The Unburdened Sol
Many times people are taught to "suck it up", and often people compare their lives to others and think "it could be worse." However these lessons and these thoughts do not often result in feeling better. Often I work with people who put on a mask that they feel they are not allowed to take down in front of others. We work together to realize that strategies that have taken you this far, tend to stop working at some point. I do not give advice, because at the end of the day, you are in charge of where you want to go and what steps you want to take. But what I can promise, is that I'm willing to walk along side you, you can test the water out and if it does not feel safe you do not have to go in, but if it's something that you want to slowly explore, we can create a space together to do so. Asking for help is a strength, although it is not always told to us. You've made it this far! Feel free to send me an email or give me a call and you can share what has been going on and we can see if you want me to join you on your walk.
Anoushey Khan
My name is Anoushey Khan and I'm a California Licensed Psychotherapist (LMFT131555) providing online therapy throughout the State. Teenage years and early adulthood can be a great time in life to learn who you are and establish your place in the world. I work primarily with teens and young adults who are trying to find themselves while also navigating these challenging issues. If you are facing these challenges, I want you to know that you are not alone and I want to support you so that you can feel empowered to face these complex experiences in a healthy way.

Hi there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in San Diego, CA, and have been working as a social worker for a little over five years. I've worked with all ages, from elementary school students to adults, but I particularly enjoy working with college students and young professionals who are juggling life transitions, family and relationships, work/school, and the constantly changing world around us. I previously spent several years working at an university serving students from historically marginalized communities, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and first-generation students. I integrate aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), somatic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) into my work with clients. I tailor these techniques and skills to the individual needs and wishes of each client, since some approaches work better for some than others. I aim to create a warm, trauma-informed environment for each client where they can feel authentically themselves, without judgment. All feelings are welcome in session with me. I enjoy being able to collaborate with clients on working towards the goals they want to achieve, and building on the strengths and supports they have already. I offer free 15-minute consultations to see if we'd be a good fit - feel free to email me to schedule or if you have any additional questions!

Personal wellness is an ever evolving journey in the human process. The journey begins with a choice to acknowledge an issue, stressor, or area of desired growth to create a different outcome. Whether facing a new challenge, or struggling with a long standing issue, seeking professional support can be the choice that helps empower and create meaningful change. It is a privilege to serve my clients and to help them on their journeys toward meaning and personal fulfillment. It is my goal to help my clients be their best selves, even in the midst of fluctuating circumstances. My clients describe me as easy to talk to & one who challenges them, balancing listening & feedback during sessions. I do my best to tailor treatment to fit individual needs. My clients leave sessions with tools to apply between appointments. I believe growth requires work both in & out of the session. I have more than 20 years combined experience in medical and acute behavioral social work, crisis intervention, counseling, and higher education.

In our first session together, I also welcome you to my real or virtual office and I invite you to make it your own safe space. I explain that therapy is a process, a relationship, and an adventure. It's also a gift of discovery and renewal that only you can give to yourself, especially in our challenging days. In this process, my role is to listen, to support, to challenge, to guide, and to celebrate you as you are becoming more courageous to face the parts of yourself you were avoiding, more accepting of yourself and of others, and fully present in your life. For over 25 years, I have practiced psychotherapy with people from all walks of life. My approach evolves as your process deepens and your needs change. As an ordained minister, I also have training and formation in spiritual direction and I can help you explore spiritual and faith concerns as part of the therapy process. I believe we are created with a tremendous capacity for good and we are given inner resources to overcome the gravest difficulties. This faith renews my love for my work and my strength as a therapist. I feel the greatest joy when I witness people's healing from emotional pain as they are making peace with the past and with the challenges of the present.
