Whether you're burdened by anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, identity questions, transitions, or physical pain linked to stress or emotions, therapy can bring relief. I offer a compassionate space where you can slow down, be seen and heard, and reconnect with yourself and what you aspire for your life. I often use Internal Family Systems to help heal painful parts and foster self-compassion and inner harmony, and Somatic Experiencing to help regulate your nervous system and heal trauma. I also offer somatic movement therapy for those interested in deeper mind/body connection. I tailor my approach based on your needs. I have helped a wide range of people in a variety of situations over more than 20 years as a licensed clinical social worker. I strive to be an ally to people of color and to be culturally responsive. I work collaboratively and without judgment. I consider it a privilege to help you find joy and make the most of that which is in your control.

Dr. Rethel Gill
My training in community mental health settings was an incredible experience as I worked with people battling depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. I have also worked with clients convicted of sexually abusive behaviors. However, I am quite versatile, and I have worked with people needing help in many areas of their lives. I am a psychodynamically trained psychologist. I also believe in using an integrated approach when helping someone to understand the how and why of what got them to this point in their life. I have found that an integrative approach to therapy works best. If a client has a non-Western approach to coping with life issues, that can be integrated into the treatment. I adapt my approach to what is best suited for you the client. It is my goal to build a therapeutic relationship with you by creating a safe and healing environment where you feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and emotions. I have worked with many diverse populations from people who practice Native American spirituality, to people with a Yogic flavor to their approaches to life, to working with those in underserved communities. I have worked with people from all cultural backgrounds. I also have worked with people with diverse sexual orientations. I am a therapist at Octave, a behavioral health practice creating a new standard for mental health care that’s both high-quality and accessible. Adrienne Cane Ilang, MFT
I enjoy working collaboratively with individuals who are seeking healing and change. Anxiety, panic, depression, conflict, stress and overwhelm, impact of transitions, OCD, and communication challenges are all areas where I can be most effective working with my patients. My specialty is TEAM-CBT, a form of CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I find that using this approach with my clients makes it possible to reach their desired outcome rapidly and effectively and empowers them with methods they can apply to maintain their progress moving forward. Embarking on a journey of self-exploration and self-improvement through the process of therapy is a profound experience. I am honored to have an opportunity to work together with you to help you meet your personal goals for change.
Marimar Rosa Monge
Promoting a healthy mental health in society is what inspires me. As a proud Latina Clinical Social Worker, I bring my cultural heritage and professional expertise to empower individuals in their healing journey ensuring they feel seen, understood, and supported. I strive to provide a supportive and affirming environment. I understand that every individual has unique needs. I ensure to assess and explore which modalities and treatment would serve most effective. I believe healing is not linear, but living a life with a better quality can be possible with the right support and direction. Creating a strong therapeutic alliance is of the upmost importance in therapy. Having a strong alliance is like having a strong foundation in a house, with a strong foundation any strong house can be built. I develop trust, rapport, connection and unconditional support striving to be the best therapist for my clients.

Many of the people I work with come to therapy because they are feeling stuck or overwhelmed, seeking relief from anxiety or depression, needing support as they adjust to a new life circumstance, or are wanting to develop a better understanding of themselves. During therapy, I frequently look at the relationship between your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions and how they affect your daily experiences. I can help you identify key thoughts and specific barriers or behaviors that are interfering or impacting your quality of life. As we work together, I can offer tools and concepts that may be helpful for coping with difficult emotions, improving relationships, and changing unhelpful patterns. I offer a free, 20-minute phone consultation to prospective clients. This provides an opportunity for us to determine if we might work well together. We can talk about what is leading you to seek therapy and I can provide you with more information on my approach to treatment and answer any questions you may have.

I am inspired to work in mental health to build rapport with members and to help members identify, process, and heal from mental health symptoms and trauma. I am inspired to help members harness their inner voice and help them to improve self-worth as well as to help them change their narratives to a positive outlook in life. I ensure members are heard by bringing in empathy, demonstrating unconditional positive regard, triaging and creating collaborate treatment goals that members are amenable to work on, employ active listening, and show reflective listening. I build trust with storytelling, to start where the member is at, to not judge member, and to ask clarifying questions to get their lived experiences. I implement miracle questions, Socratic questioning, and provide homework assignments for accountability.
Rosa Blasi Therapy
I specialize in addiction and recovery, I have many clients I have helped navigate anxiety, codependency or toxic relationships, the transition into college life, and recovery from trauma. I am available in person in my office in Hermosa Beach, or via tele-health. I pride myself of being very casual, down to earth and having authentic conversations. I don't shy away from sarcasm, profanity or humor (therapy doesn't have to be all intense). And the best compliments I receive are hearing "I didn't think I was a therapy person... until I started therapy with you".

What inspired me to become a therapist was my own personal experience with therapy as a young child. I wanted to help other people with their journey to become mentally healthy, mindful, and self-aware for a new lifestyle that is encouraging and fulfilling to them. My goal is to create a safe space for clients during sessions by being an observant, nonjudgmental, and an empathetic therapist. My philosophy is “Aim Small to Hit Big”, which means to be present in the moment and set small attainable goals for yourself to build upon your successes and celebrate accomplishments one goal at a time.
